Pharmacist’s Assistant (Basic) – NQF Level 4
Duration: 6 Months

You Will Learn:
- Apply basic scientific knowledge to support the delivery of pharmaceutical services.
- Provide technical support for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing stock.
- Perform stock counts and participate in stock-taking in line with Good Wholesaling and Distribution Practice (GWDP) and Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP).
- Provide technical support for the manufacture, packaging, and re-packaging of non-sterile medicines and scheduled substances under pharmacist supervision, following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Assist with compounding, manipulation, and preparation of non-sterile medicines and scheduled substances (extemporaneous compounding) under supervision, in compliance with GPP and GMP.

- Perform advanced compounding, manipulation, and preparation of non-sterile medicines and scheduled substances under pharmacist supervision, aligned with GPP rules and GMP standards.
